img10706Following in the footsteps of the Bavaria Match 38, which has achieved great success racing in UK and Spain, Bavaria has launched two new members of its cruiser racing series, the Match 35 and the Match 42. Both yachts will appeal to owners who enjoy a higher level of performance and a yacht which can be fully equipped to race at a very competitive level with a full crew. When cruising the Match can be enjoyed for its exceptional comfort below and easy handling characteristics under sail.

img10703To enhance ownership of the Match 35, UK distributor Opal Marine has put together a Grand Prix One Design pack which includes a number of additional sail controls, spinnaker pole adjustments and racing sails to encourage one design fleet racing. For the owners who enjoy the latest technology, a carbon fibre wheel, carbon mast and other enhancements are available to hone the Match into a lethal racing machine.

img10702The first Match 42 has enjoyed an unprecedented start to its season in the Bay of Palma and Barcelona with a series of wins in the IRC division, beating Sinergia 40's a Grand Soleil 45R, Farr 38's and other well sailed cruiser racing boats. Her sister yacht, the Match 35 has also achieved great success in Scotland and Cowes Week with wins in Class 5 IRC.

Opal Marine will introduce the new Match series on a separate Match stand, F7 at the Southampton Boat Show.
